Big make-over for the city centre garage in The Hague

Parking garage Helicon in the center of The Hague will be managed by Interparking as of 1 July 2018. The parking operator will thoroughly renovate the garage, investing in modern techniques and give it a fresh look. “We will carry out the work in phases,” says Vincent Raaphorst from Interparking. “The garage will remain open in the meantime”
Interparking will rent the parking garage from the German investment company Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH, owner of the building. The 230-storey garage is part of the government office ‘The Resident’, in which the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, Public Health and Welfare are housed.
Interparking wants to upgrade garage Helicon to a (more) customer and environmentally friendly parking facility. “In Interparking style,” Raaphorst adds. Investments are being made in floor finishing, parking equipment, LED lighting, painting, signage and upgrading of the pedestrian zone. Furthermore, the garage gets the most modern techniques, such as license plate recognition online reservation options. ‘Green’ riders receive a discount on their parking rate with Eco Parking.

Rentalite will equip the parking garage with the PPL Interval Line. A light line with blind pieces that Rentalite has also applied in the Museumkwartier car park of Interpaking in The Hague. In addition to this lighting, the PPL Flatscreen luminaires will also be installed with an IP65 degree. By applying this lighting, a significant saving on energy and CO2 emissions will be achieved and a fantastic light image will be created. The entire lighting will be switched, so an even higher saving will be created.
