Q1. Are Rentalite’s LED products able to produce the same light output like the lamps we currently have installed in our building?
A1. Yes! Our research and development team has tried its utmost best to develop LED products with a very high lumen output. All of our LED products can generate more than 114 lumens per watt. This enables our products to generate a maximum light output while upholding the lowest wattage input possible.

Q2. Are all of the Rentalite products dimmable?
A2. Yes, all of our products are dimmable upon request. A pre configured dimmable level can be before installation, in addition movement sensors can be installed too. The continuous on/off switching of the lamps does not influence the quality of the LED lamps like it does to conventional fluorescent tubes.

Q3. Is LED a good technology for me, isn’t there a new technology coming soon?
A3. The robust aluminium fixture will lasts for decades. The design allows the installer to easily mount it with a special screw to the ceiling. After 80.000 hours the LED strips can be easily replaced by a new LED strip for the next 80.000 hours. The Premium Power LED technique has proven itself over the last 10 years already  (in the horticulture). The Premium Power LED has an Unique developed driver. Due to this patented unique driver technology we solved the heat problem with standard LEDs. Heat shortens the lifetime of standard LED tubes in 20.000 hours. 

Q4. I am still a bit reluctant to invest in LED because it still has not been fully
developed yet.

Q5.  They say that LED lights constantly flicker and therefore can cause headaches?
A5. The first generation of LED lights were known to flicker and had a light source that consisted of hundreds of small dots; as a result they would cause headaches to some people.
However Rentalite offers the newest generation of LED products and we can ensure you that our products will not flicker and cause headaches accordingly.

Q6. What is the lumen output of your products?
A6. The PPL generates a lumen output of 2474 Lumen and the PPL Plus 4950 Lumen

Q7. What is the lumen drop of your LED products?
A7. we minized the lumen drop due to our patentend unique driver technologie which solves the problem with the heat dissipation. Therefore the Lumen drop is < 20% at 80,000 hours

Q8. What does the word “power factor” stand for anyway?
A8.Power factor is a simple way to describe how much of the current contributes to real power in the load. A power factor of one (unity or 1.00) indicates that 100% of the current is contributing to power in the load while a power factor of zero indicates that none of the current contributes to power in the load. The PPL has a power factor of 0,98.

Q9. Are Rentalite’s products going to interfere with the electronic equipment in my building?
A9. All of our products have gone through an EMR (Electro Magnetic Radiation) test, all of the tests showed that our product will not interfere with any other electronic components.

Q10. How does your RentaLite model work?
A10. Zero investment but a direct profit!Changing from traditional energy-consuming products to a new environment-friendly solution is costly. A11. If you purchase our products you will receive a 3 year warranty (with an option for 6 years), if you acquire our product by using our RentaLite model© you will receive full warranty during the entire contract period.

Q12. How can I calculate how much I will be saving?
A12.The average savings per 500 PPLs per year is EURO 35.000 (compared to T8 fluorescent lamps).

Q13. When would I be able to use the RentAlite model©?
A13. You will be able to use take benefit of our model if you own more than 250 lamps, your lamps have operating days of 280 days a year and 18 operating hours a day.

Q14. Can I cluster the lamps to be able to use the RentAlite model?
A14. Yes you can! If you cluster your lamps and if you reach up to a 250+ lamps you will be able to use our Rentalite Model.  An invoice will be send to one address each month.

Q15. When will I receive an invoice?
A15. You will receive an invoice by the end of each month; the amount will automatically be deducted from your account.

Q16. How will I be certain I will save electricity each month? My electricity usage varies each month and I can’t read how much I use on lamps on my electricity bill.
A16. We have measuring tools with which we can show you how much our LED lamps will save you (averaging around 65%) on the electricity usage of your lamps. If we know how much the exact saving will be in % we can easily determine how much you will save annually based on the values you provided us with regarding operating days and hours for your lamps.

Q17. Why doesn’t Philips or Sylvania do what Rentalite does?
A17. Rentalite is a highly innovative organization that develops or purchases its LED technologies themselves. Speed and constant quality are traits and values of our highly experienced team. Because of our unique Rentalite model and our direct approach we are always very welcome at highly renovated worldwide organizations

Q18. What about insurance, who is taking care of that?
A18. If you have purchased or leased a Rentalite product, it is your responsibility to insure it.

Q19. What is the ideal distance of the Premium Power LED in parking garages?

A19-1 Distance between the Premium Power LED and the floor.
The height is ideal between the 8 and 10 ft. On 8 ft. you will have approx 130 lux on the floor on 10 ft. approx 100 lux.

A19-2  Distance between the Premium Power LED themselves.
Install the PPL’s preferably in the direction of the driving lane. With an ideal distance between the PPLs of 10-11ft.

Please note that all lux and lumen results are also based upon the surrounding. E.g. when the walls and the ceilings are painted white the reflection will be bigger. Please note that the dipswitch is set in its highest level: 30 watt (both pins of dipswitch pressed down).

Q20. To what can I compare an optimal lightdisplay and how can it be measured?
A20. When a Premium Power LED has been installed in a space that has a ceiling at a height of aprox. 8 to 10 feet, it will always generate lux values between 120 and 180 lux. These measurements are based on test results from actual installations and have been averaged between these aforementioned values. Other influences that depend on the amount of Lux that a Premium Power LED generates, are light colors, the lighter the color the brighter and better the lightdisplay will become. Installing only 1 Premium Power LED will not represent the optimal lightdisplay that a PPL can generate since other factors will not be measured then.

Q21. Is Rentalite an international company?
A21. Yes, the possibilities for your company stretch all over the world.

Q22. Are there Subsidies or incentives available if I purchase a Rentalite product?
A22. Yes, however the kind of incentives and subsidies are different in each state and county. Contact your local advisor for more information or let us help you to find the right incentive out there.

Q23. Why use the Premium Power LED instead of cheaper LED tubes.
A23.

• The Premium Power LED is made in Europe and has a very high quality standard
  (not made in China). The best LEDs are used i.e. CREE, made in the USA.
• The Premium Power LED technique has proven itself over the last 10 years already (in the horticulture). Lifespan 80.000 hours od the LED strip.
• The Premium Power LED has an Unique developed driver. Due to this patented unique driver technology we solved the heat problem with LEDs. Heat shortens the lifetime of standard LED tubes in 20.000 hours.
• The Premium Power LED has many certifications: CE / UL / CUL / TUV / LM79. Standard LED tubes most of the time do not have these certifications.
• The Premium Power LED has a Special aluminium robust fixture which is vandalism and theft proof. The fixture is also special designed for the heat dissipation of the LEDs to maximize the lifespan of our LEDs. The heat dissipation is the biggest problem with LED tubes, the LEDs get too hot and die early (in 20.000 hours).
• The Premium Power LED has a special developed Fresnel lens which make the light spread in a 160 degrees angle which gives the optimal light distribution on the floor. With the PPL you also have enough light on the driving lane with a standard LED tube you do not have enough light on the driving lane (standard LED tubes have very pointed lights).
• Please note when you change the existing fixture for the USE of LED tubes the CE, and TUV approval will be cancelled and invalid and in case of an accident, short circuit or fire the installer and user/owner will be fully responsible and liable, this problem will not occur with our Product since the PPL has been especially made for such conditions since the PPL has been designed as a fixture and powerful LED light in 1.
• The robust aluminium fixture will lasts for decades. The LED strip in the fixture can easily Be replaced by a new LED strip for the next 9 years.

Q 24: What are the benefits of RentAlite’s PPL compared to conventional T5 fluorescent lighting?
A 24:

• T5 fluorescent lighting consumes 49 watts without gear (ballast), with ballast it comsumes 53-55 watts. The Premium Power LED lights consume between 15-30 watts. The average savings are 59% in energy and CO2. This means on average per 500 Premium Power LED lights savings of 27,000 euros per year and 90,000 kg of CO2 per year!
• The lifetime of a fluorescent T5 is 15000-20000 hours. The lamp life of the Premium Power LED (PPL) is 80,000 hours. This means less service, maintenance and replacement!
• The Premium Power LED has several options for dimming: Intelligent dimmable in groups (for ex- ample, each level adjustable from 100% to 30% = extra savings!), Intelligent individual dimma- ble (in each level individually adjustable), dimmable with daylight sensors etc.! These possibilities for dimming contribute to higher energy and CO2 savings and an extension of the lamp life!
• The fixture of the PPL is more robust than a T5 fluorescent fixture. Great advantage in due to vandalism and theft.
• Fluorescent T5 is designed for offices and therefore the ideal temperature is around 20 degrees, when the average temperature is below 20 degrees it is at the expense of the lamp life and light maintenance so therefore it will cause problems in garages!
• T5 fluorescent is chemical waste. Fluorescent tubes should be disposed of as hazardous waste, environmental taxes and charges!
• In practice there are many problems with electronic ballasts for fluorescent lighting that after 2 years already need to be replaced. These ballasts are nearly as expensive as a completely new lamp for TL / TL T5.

Please note: The fluorescent tubes (TL) as well as the traditional bulbs will disappear over the com- ing years. The tube contains phosphorus, mercury and lead, and gases that damage our environ- ment. The fluorescent fixture is not suitable for LED lights and will therefore need to be adjusted/ modified. This will lead to the fact that the CE and KEMA will be cancelled and invalid for the fixture, and the installer and user will be liable for any calamity that may arise because insurance companies do not cover, not permitted, modifications.

The purchase of fluorescent fixtures and lamps means also, that within now and 8 years, there will be another investment needed in new fixtures and lamps other than the current technology. This de- cision is not appropriate in the context of sustainability and being green.

Several customers who had initially opted for T5, by these arguments and their savings now and in the future (6 years, only one new LED strip) have chosen the Premium Power LED.

Q25. Replacement of the LED strips and electronics after 9 years
A25. Our LED strips are designed to give a quality light for 9 years. The robust fixture which will last for decades and can be opened on the side by removing the screws from the end cap. The LED strips and electronics can be easily slide out and the new LED strip and electronics can be easily slighted into the robust fixture to last again for the next 9 years. By repeating this process every 9 years you will have a powerful led lighting with always the latest technology.

Q26. How long has the Premium Power LED technology been in existence?
A26. We have been working on new developments, production, marketing and sales since 1978. LED was introduced to us in 1980, during this long period we gained a lot of knowledge and experience. The development and production of the current LED technologies, and conventional light replacements, have been with us and our partners, for over 10 years in already. The Premium Power LED technology has proven itself over the last 10 years already (in the horticulture).
